Larry G. Lemert Jr., 62, passed away unexpectedly in his home with his family near at 9:27 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2017.

Lifetime Marshall County resident, Larry Jr. was born in Plymouth, Indiana on January 15, 1955 to Larry G. Sr. and Wanda L. (Magnuson) Lemert. He grew up in LaPaz and graduated from LaVille High School in 1973, where he was well known for playing sports. Education was something very important to him, and he continued on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Ft. Wayne Business International and then his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.

The first, greatest moment of his life was the birth of his daughter, Nicole. She was his pride and joy.

Then, on October 31, 1997, Larry Jr. would marry the love of his life, Donna R. Ulrich. He adored her and wanted to give her the world. He worked very hard so that she could enjoy life and family, and never have to worry about a thing.

Larry Jr. wore many hats being a hard worker all his life. Most recently he was the head of accounting and automotive plant controller for Yanfeng in Monroe, MI. A lover of music, Larry Jr. also DJ’d for various events for over 15 years, bringing out the happiest side that many didn’t always see.

Most of all, Larry Jr. loved his blended family, and helped raise his grandson Brennen. He dressed up as Santa for many years for his grandchildren. He was a stubborn man and had to be right, but would help anyone in need. He was a sportsman in his younger years of basketball, golf and tennis, and he enjoyed fishing and ice fishing. Donna and he were members of the Moose Lodge in Plymouth.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna of Plymouth, and their children: Nicole (Matt) Loomis of Indianapolis, Walt Snedeker of Plymouth, Shelia Shepherd of Plymouth and Keith (Sher) Snedeker of Plymouth; his father, Larry Lemert Sr. of Plymouth; 6 grandchildren: Ryan, Camille, Roman, Casondra, Jack and Brennen; great-grandson, Azazel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His siblings are: Mike (Gail) Lemert of New Paris, IN, Mark (Maria) Lemert of Plymouth, Roxane (Jesse) Minix of North Judson, IN and Lorie (Vernon) Sauer of Lakeville.

Larry Jr. was preceded in death by his dearly missed mother, Wanda; son, Terry Snedeker; granddaughter, Shayla Snedeker; niece, Paige Minix and step-mother, Joyce Lemert.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 11-1 p.m. at New Song Church, 410 Kingston Rd. Plymouth, Indiana.
