Plymouth

Adam Gibson, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, unexpectedly passed away at home on February 13, 2025, at the age of 40. Born on April 18, 1984, Adam was the son of William Lloyd Gibson and Debra Mitchell.

Adam met Tara Creighbaum in elementary school, blossoming into a relationship that was truly special. They were united in marriage on August 29, 2015. Together, they created a loving home for their two sons, Dean and William, instilling in them the importance of family that Adam held so dear.

A dedicated worker, Adam embraced various roles throughout his career, most recently contributing his talents at NEWMAR. His work ethic was matched only by his vibrant personality; he was known for his candid opinions and infectious laughter that could light up any room. Adam's spirit was that of a big kid, relishing the moments shared with his boys, whether they were cheering for monster trucks or enjoying family outings. He found great pride in fatherhood, creating lasting memories with Dean and William.

Adam was an avid movie enthusiast, particularly fond of the Batman series, often delighting in quoting his favorites and sharing his insights with Tara, even if it meant spoiling her favorite shows. He thrived in the cozy comfort of home, where he shared his love of games like chess, teaching the intricacies of the game to young Dean.

He is survived by his devoted wife Tara; their sons, Dean and William; his siblings, Sheila (Jason) Wright, Shelly (Roger) Wheatbrook, and Shawn (Bri) Edstrom; bonus siblings Kevin, Daelyn, and Adam Stoner; and his cherished nieces and nephews: Travis, Brock, Jared, Hannah, James, Scarlet, Tiffany, and Bryan. He also leaves behind his beloved furry companions – Millie, Cozie, Oaklie, Zoie, Pokie, and Cat (affectionately known as "Marshmello"). Adam is preceded in death by his parents, William and Debra, and his child, Baby Gibson.

Adam will be laid to rest at Oakhill Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home for Adam's funeral expenses.

As we remember Adam, let us carry forward the love he shared and the laughter he inspired, cherishing his memory in our hearts.
