Agnes C. Dixon, 84, a lifetime area resident, living at 7480 Plymouth-LaPorte Trail, died in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, following an illness, at 8:22 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2003.
Agnes was born in Flora, Ind., on October 31, 1919. She was the daughter of Roy and Julia Luse. She attended Plymouth schools.
She and Cecil Dixon were married in Plymouth on March 29, 1938. Cecil died on June 15, 1988.
A homemaker, Agnes enjoyed doing cross word puzzles and spending time with her family.
Agnes is survived by her three daughters and four sons and their families.
Her daughters are: Dora Ann and Ray Van Blaricom, Plymouth; Sandra and Charlie Miller, LaPaz; and Joyce and Mark Arndt, Osceola.
Her sons are: Richard L. Dixon; Joe Dixon and Jack Dixon, all of Plymouth; and James and Amy Dixon, Mishawaka.
Twenty grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren also survive, together with three sisters and two brothers. They are: Della and Al Drake, Fla.; Pat Sporner, Bourbon and Jean Makowski, Plymouth. Her brothers are: Kenneth and Mary Luse, Plymouth and Wayne and Viola Luse, Monon, Ind.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two granddaughters and Pat Dixon, a daughter-in-law.
Visitation with the family will be in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2003.
Funeral services for Agnes will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 27, 2003, in the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Krieg, pastor of the Salem United Methodist Church, Bremen, officiating.
Interment will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
