Akira Mae Gard, 15 day old daughter of Joshua T.C. and Bridgette K. Gard, died at 1:50 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010, in Riley Children’s Hospital, Indianapolis.
Akira is survived by her parents; her twin sister, Trinity Kay Gard; her maternal grandparents: Wanda and Steve Stewart of Plymouth and William Thomas of South Bend; her paternal grandparents: Gloryann and Brett Dean of Elkhart and Ricky Gard of Mishawaka; her maternal great-grandmothers:
Lorraine Jackson of Plymouth and Delores Stewart of Illinois; her paternal great-grandparents: Zelda Gard and Dorris Dean, both of South Bend, Donald Gard of Kansas, Judy Brown of Berrien Springs, MI and Jeremiah Bair of Mishawaka and several aunts and uncles.
Graveside services for Akira will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on Mayflower Road, South Bend with Wayne Thomas officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, Indianapolis.
