Anna F. Snyder, 88, died of natural causes, on Sunday, February 15, 2004, in Miller’s Merry Manor, 600 W. Oakhill Ave., Plymouth, Ind. She had formerly lived in the LaPaz area

Anna was born in Elkhart, Ind., on July 2, 1915. She was the daughter of Lewis and Carrie Myrtle Lechlitner Wise. She went to school in Madison Township schools. A homemaker, Anna was married in Elkhart, Ind., to D. Paul Snyder on June 8, 1940, moving to LaPaz that year. Paul died on June 25, 1985.

She enjoyed cross-stitch and embroidery and was a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Church, Wakarusa, Ind, and attended the Nappanee Missionary Church, Nappanee, Ind.

Anna is survived by two sons and four daughters. Her sons and their wives are: Lewis and Charlene Snyder of Valleyford, Washington, and Tom and Esther Snyder of Lakeville, Ind.

Her daughters and their spouses are: Fern and Ralph Costello of Plymouth, Ind.; Mary and Steve McBride of Bourbon, Myrtle and Jim Smith of Lakeville and Sue and Bruce Berkey of Nappanee.

Fourteen grandchildren, Twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, seven step-grandchildren, thirteen step-great-grandchildren.

A sister, Joy Badke, Elkhart, Ind., and a brother, Lloyd Wise of Nappanee, also survive Anna’s death.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandchild; Christopher Berkey, daughter in law; Carolyn Snyder, a sister; Mary Wise and a brother, Norris Wise.

Visitation will be in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, Ind., on Wednesday, February 18, 2004, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and one hour prior to services.

Funeral services for Anna will be on Thursday, February 19, 2004, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home at 11 a.m. The Rev. Norm Reimer, Nappanee Missionary Church and the Rev. David Gould, Country Church of Bourbon, will officiate.

Interment will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
