B. Elaine Clayton, 71, a resident of Miller’s Merry Manor, 600 Oakhill Ave., Plymouth, for the past 20 years, died there of natural causes at 11:20 a.m. on Friday, November 26, 2004.
Elaine was born in Plymouth on April 25, 1933. She was the daughter of George R. and D. Ethel Pearish Clayton. She attended Plymouth schools.
A homemaker, she was an excellent seamstress. Artistically creative, prior to an injury which left her disabled, she loved to draw and design.
Elaine is survived by one daughter, Leslie Resendez, a sister, Beverly J. Baltes, Plymouth, also survives together with two nephews, Jamie Clayton, Walkerton and Ronnie Baltes, Knox. Three nieces, Cindy Sneed, Nappanee; Bonnie Hardesty and Karen Baltes, both of Plymouth survive as well, together with several cousins.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and Robert “Butch” L. Clayton, a brother who died this past October 11th.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 29, 2004, at 1 p.m. in the Tippecanoe Cemetery located on St. Road 331 South. The Rev. Douglas Jividen, pastor of the Plymouth Baptist Church will officiate.
Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., is assisting in arrangements.
Interment will be in the Tippecanoe Cemetery, Tippecanoe, Ind.
Memorial gifts in Elaine’s memory may be made to the Marshall County Hospice.
