Bob, affectionately known as “Beans,” Hulse, 62, Plymouth, died, following a short illness, at 8:04 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
Beans had lived in Plymouth for the last 17 years, coming from the Chesterton area.
He was born on December 6, 1946, in Gary, IN. He was the son of Howard and Marie Hulse. He graduated from Edison High School in Lake Station, IN.
Beans served as an Army trained combat medic from 1967 to 1969.
On March 25, 1983, in Valparaiso, IN., Beans and Janice Noel were married.
He was employed by Bethlehem Steel for 35 years, retiring on January 15, 2002.
He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and a member of A.B.A.T.E. for many years. He loved to watch and appreciated all kinds of wild life.
Beans is survived by his wife, Janice, a brother, Richard (Betty) Hulse, and a sister, Rose Crose, both of Lake Station, IN. Rick and Kelly Sears, brother and sister-in-law of Lumberton, TX., also survives.
Four nieces and two nephews survive as well. They are: Shawn MacKay, Chris Godby, Andrea Sears, Rachel Vasquez, Rick Hulse and Will Vasquez.
Twelve great-nieces and nephews also survive together with five great-great nieces and nephews and one on the way.
Beans will also be missed by his many, many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother and father-in-law, Wayne and Marge Noel.
Beans’ family will welcome his friends to share memories from 3 to 6 p.m. E.S.T. on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services for Beans will follow visitation at 6 p.m. E.S.T. on Saturday in the funeral home.
Memorial gifts in Bean’s memory may be made to the Leukemia Society of America.
