Brett A. Smith, 43, an area resident most of his life, died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack, at 9 a.m. in Cumberland Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Maryland, on Sunday, December 10, 2006.
Born in Noblesville, Indiana, on July 28, 1963, Brett is the son of Wayne A. and Judith A. Russell Smith.
He was a 1981 graduate of Plymouth High School.
On July 10, 1993, in Plymouth, Brett and Angela R. Weaver were married.
Brett was employed by I.T. Equipment, Inc., of Plymouth.
He loved NASCAR racing and enjoyed camping, fishing and golfing.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, the Elks Lodge and was formerly a volunteer with the Plymouth Fire Department.
Brett is survived by his wife, Angela and their two sons, Blake A. and Brandon E. Smith, all of Plymouth.
His parents of Plymouth also survive, together with his brother and sister-in-law, Brian A. and Tammy S. Smith, Noblesville, Indiana.
Friends are invited to share memories of Brett with his family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2006, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth
Funeral services for Brett will be held at 2 p.m. in the funeral home on Saturday, December 16, 2006. The Rev. James Gilmer, pastor of the Shalom Fellowship, will officiate.
Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts in Brett’s memory may be made to the Plymouth Volunteer Fire Department.
