Carol T. Strang, a resident of Pilgrim Manor, 22 Parkview Ave., Plymouth, died of natural causes at 4:20 p.m on Saturday, April 29, 2006. She was 94 years old.
Carol was born in a house on the St. Joseph-Marshall County line in Lakeville, Indiana, the daughter of Walter and Pansy Rowe Thornton on July 13, 1911.
She attended County Line School through the 8th grade.
On December 25, 1937, she and Welcome L. Strang were married. Welcome died on February 17, 1974 A housewife, Carol also had worked in a factory, in Pat’s bar and as a cook at West High School.
Carol is survived by a son and two daughters. Her son and daughter-in-law is Robert E. and Martha Eastwood of Richardson, Texas. Her daughters and sons-in-law are Susan I. and Ronald Knepper, Plymouth, Indiana and Sally D. and Stephen Himlin, Largo, Florida.
Seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive her death.
Friends are invited to celebrate Carol’s life on Friday, May 5, 2006, from 11 a.m. to noon, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, Indiana.
Funeral services for Carol will follow visitation at noon on Friday. Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana.
Memorial contributions in Carol’s name may be made to the Marshall County Hospice or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
