Celia M. Beehler, 86, a lifetime Marshall County resident, died at 6:15 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2010, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
The daughter of Edward and Orpha P. Jackman Harsh, Celia was born in Marshall County on October 21, 1924. She was a 1942 graduate of Plymouth High School and graduated from nurse’s training in 1946.
On December 7, 1952, Celia became the bride of Arden E. Beehler in Inwood. Arden preceded her in death on June 29, 1995.
Celia had worked at Marshall County Parkview/Holy Cross Hospital in Plymouth, retiring in November of 1986.
An avid gardener, she enjoyed growing both flowers and vegetables, sharing her bounty with family and friends.
Celia is survived by a son, Jeffrey (Linda) Beehler of Apex, North Carolina, a daughter, Deborah (Terry) McCoy of Okinawa, Japan, a granddaughter, Shannon Diana McCoy and a grandson, Sean Michael McCoy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers: Kenneth Harsh and Robert Harsh.
Friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth.
Funeral services will held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev, Kerry O’Brien, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, where Celia had been a member for many years.
Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
