Charles A. “Chuck” Bostedo, Jr., 65, of Oak Lawn, ILL. died as he had wished; at his home of 21 years on Bass Lake, after a long battle with cancer related illnesses, at 3:15 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2009.
Chuck was born in Chicago on June 15, 1944, the son of Charles A. and Evelyn A. Tangney Bostedo Sr. now deceased.
The middle of five children, Chuck has been coming with his family to Bass Lake for the summer since he was eight years old. He attended Chicago schools.
On July 24, 1982, in Palos Heights, ILL., Chuck and Georgina New were married.
An expert machinist for over 40 years in the Chicago area, Chuck loved his family and friends. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed golf and traveling around the world.
He was a former member of the Bass Lake Country Club.
Chuck is survived by his spouse and four children: Carolyn (Todd) Baumruk, Chicago Heights, ILL.: Michael (Jennifer) Bostedo, Orlando, FLA., and their children, Elizabeth and Jace: Krista Bostedo, Ottawa, ILL.: and Jennifer (David) Fitman, Plainfield, ILL., and their children, Andrew and Emily. Three sisters and a brother also survive his death. They are: Carol (Edward) Jaeky, Indian Head Park, ILL.: Patricia (Richard) Caffarelli, Plymouth, IN.: Richard (Margaret) Bostedo, Westmont, ILL. and Barbara (Keith) Johnson, Champagne, ILL.,
Multiple nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews survive as well.
