Christine Ann Ulery

November 15, 1968 — November 17, 2024

Culver

Christine Ann Ulery, 56, was surrounded by her loving family and close friends when she went home to be with the Lord on November 17, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 15, 1968, Chris was the daughter of Russell and Barbara (Woolley) Ulery.

Chris was a graduate of Culver Community High School, Class of 1987. While she was in high school, Chris was a member of the Marching Band playing the flute, the French Club and the Art Club. She pursued her education further at Ancilla College and ultimately earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from IUSB. In her career, she served as a Deputy Assessor at the Marshall County Building. Her journey through life was characterized by compassion, strength, and an unwavering dedication to helping others, which she fulfilled in her career as a dedicated Social Worker with Bowen Center where she most recently worked.

Chris’s faith was an essential part of her life. She lived each day with a spirit that reflected her belief in God's healing power. She attended Plymouth Wesleyan Church. Her relationship with God provided her immense strength throughout her life, particularly during her battle with illness.

Family gatherings brought out the best in Chris. Her snarky personality never failed to light up the room, with moments of joy and laughter echoing through cherished memories with her loved ones. She was a curious person, always interested in what others were doing, which strengthened her ability to connect with others. Each interaction was enhanced by her tender-heartedness and a sense of sarcasm that added a unique charm to her conversations.

In her free time, Chris expressed her creativity and artistic spirit through various hobbies such as diamond art, making jewelry, and stained glass projects. Notably, she took pride in selling her creations at her booth at Twice Treasured in Plymouth, where her artistic talents found a place to shine.

Despite life's battles, Chris exemplified a positive outlook, encouraging others with her optimistic approach—she truly was an incredibly strong individual. The door was always open at her home for anyone who needed help, demonstrating her relentless commitment to being there for others in their times of need.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and creativity that will not be forgotten. Chris will forever be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her compassionate nature, and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.

Chris will be dearly missed by her parents, Russell and Barbara; children, Ross Henry, Dalton (Alissa) Rodgers, and Quinten Rodgers; brother, Jonathon Ulery; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul and Lucille Ulery and Dick and Florence Woolley; in addition to her aunt and uncle, Sherry and Bill Ulery.
