Cleo L. Garrison, 84, died of natural causes in her home at 9358 State Road 17, Plymouth, Ind., at 10:03 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2004.
Born in Culver, Ind., on February 11, 1920, Cleo was the daughter of Clinton M. and Grace B. Keller Short. She graduated from Culver High School.
On January 13, 1940, in Knox, Cleo and Chester Garrison were married. Chester died on March 11, 2003.
A Marshall County resident for most of her life, she was proud to be a homemaker. A wonderful loving mother to her children, she shared her love with all kinds of animals. She was an avid gardener, possessing a green thumb in growing flowers and vegetables.
Cleo is survived by three children. They are: Larry and Sandra Garrison; Dennis E. Garrison, Ava, Missouri; and Joyce and Dale, Jr. “Spike” Sinders, Plymouth.
Four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters: Deloris Flosenzier and Cleora Huffer.
Friends were welcomed by the family on Monday, November 22, 2004, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2004, in the funeral home. The Rev. John Gantt, pastor of the First United Church of Christ, Plymouth, officiated.
Interment was in Burr Oak Cemetery.
