Corrine E. “Corky” Pippenger, 56, of Bremen, died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 20, 2010 in the Bremen Community Hospital. She was born on March 2, 1954 in Jacksonville, Illinois to Lawrence and Claris (Zimmer) Critchfield. She married John Pippenger on April 17, 1987 in Sevierville, Tennessee, he survives.
Corrine was a loving and caring person. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Corrine never knew a stranger and would do almost anything for someone in need. She enjoyed traveling; her favorite place to visit was Tennessee. She was the rock of her family and will be missed by all her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, John of Bremen, two sons: Sean (Tera) Douglas and Tony Pippenger all of Plymouth, two daughters: Carrie (Kenneth) Ruby of Rochester and Jennifer (Larry) Corbet, of Plymouth and six grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Carrissa, Zack, Lane and Evan. Also surviving is a brother Larry Critchfield of Shipshewana and a sister Judy (Frank) Stapleton of Nappanee.
Corrine was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 26th from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St. Plymouth. Services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Val Friedell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Leesburg Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.
