Daniel J. Wawrzyniak

Daniel Joseph Wawrzyniak, 66, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Center for Hospice Care Raclin House, Mishawaka.

Danny was born on November 10, 1958, in South Bend, Indiana to Ernest and Patricia (Skowera) Wawrzyniak.

Danny worked at Southmore Mutual Housing where he did maintenance for 15 years. However, many knew him for his love of music. Over the years, he was a member of the bands; The Highlighters, Five of a Kind, and Brass Sunset. However, he is best known as the founder of and 38-year member of the country band, Border Line, through which he had the joy of entertaining many and playing the music he loved across northern Indiana.

In addition to his love of music, Danny had several hobbies including fishing, carpentry and walking his beloved dog, Kaci. Danny was also an avid painter with his paintings displayed in many homes.

Danny embodied the definition of determination.

On July 4, 2004, he married the love of his life and his equal in determination, Linda (Snead) Wawrzyniak. Together they overcame obstacles and built a life filled with love, laughter, music, and trying to see which one of them could be the most strong-willed.

Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia.

He is survived and will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda of Plymouth; his father Ernie Wawrzyniak of South Bend; his brother Mike (Carla) Wawrzyniak of South Bend; and his way too many kids: Kelli Grahl (Ryan Stickler) of New Carlisle; Aubrey Schrock of Bremen; Tracee (Jason) Stansell of Warsaw; Sara (Chad) Jones of Claypool; Amber (Cale) Veal of Tennille, GA; Aaron (Stacy) Price of Warsaw; Lindsay (Ryan) Klotz of Etna Green; Bridget Snead (Jonathan Nichols) of Bagwell, TX; Jonathan (Brooke) Price of Warsaw; Abbie (Bryce) Willard of Etna Green; Brelynn Wawrzyniak, Corbyn Wawrzyniak, and Raulyn (Lexi) Wawrzyniak of South Bend; Danny also leaves behind 30 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
