David Lee Hand, 73, a resident of Garden Court West in Plymouth, died at 9:25 a.m. July 24, 2009, at St Joseph’s Medical Center in South Bend.
He was born to Willard and Donna Hand in Bremen on May 12, 1936.
David graduated from Bremen High School in 1955. He had been an area resident all of his life.
He had worked with his father doing lawn care.
A Chicago Cubs fan all his life, he also enjoyed the Chicago Bears and Bulls and Notre Dame teams.
David is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Herb Eveland, Plymouth; brothers Larry and Alice Hand, Copper Center, Alaska, Terry and Carol Hand, Copper Center, Alaska, and Rex Hand, Harrison, Arkansas. He was close to two nephews in Plymouth: Rod and Jackie Eveland, and Derek and Jodi Eveland. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews in Alaska, Arkansas, and Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Interment will be in the Bremen Cemetery, Bremen, IN.
There will be no visitation. A private family memorial will be held.
