Deane L. Stump, 76, life time Plymouth resident, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at his residence after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Deane was born to the late Grant and Betty (Rowe) Stump on October 11, 1941 in Plymouth.
He graduated from Lakeville High School in 1959. Deane was a self-employed construction owner and real-estate developer.
On April 30, 1961 in Plymouth, he married Mary Holderead; and she survives.
Surviving is his loving wife of fifty-seven years; Mary Stump of Plymouth, daughter; Mindy (Jay) Potter of Sylvania, Ohio, son; Michael (Judy) Stump of Plymouth, eight grandchildren; Amanda (Andrew) Dreibelbis, Sarah (Josh) Bowmar, Kyle (Jessica) Stump, Emily Bakian and fiancé; Tyler Heisey, Kelsey Heisler, Gentry (Brant) Hedington, Cassie Potter and Jessica Potter. Also surviving are nine great-grandchildren, two sisters; his twin, Donna (Lamar) Ritenour of Sebring, Florida, and Katie (Gary) Nolen of South Bend.
Deane was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 North Michigan Street, Plymouth, Indiana 46563. A Celebration of Life service will take place at 1:00 PM Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Toni Carmer officiating.
Burial will be at a later date at the Fair Cemetery in Lakeville.
