Deborah A. Davis

Deborah A. Davis, 58, a resident of Plymouth passed away at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center – Plymouth Campus following a courageous one year battle with cancer. She has been a Plymouth resident since 1992.

Deb was born the daughter of James R. and Carol L. (Ziolkowski) Guthrie on April 30, 1957 in West Allis, Wisconsin. There she graduated high school with the Class of 1975. She then attended Waukesha Technical School.

On November 27, 1982 in Hales Corners, Wisconsin, she became the wife of William E. Davis who survives. They became the parents of four children: Scott, Heather, James and Katherine.

Deb had a passion for the P.H.S. Girls Basketball team and for the past 16 years was known as the “Team Mom” for the varsity squad keeping score books and will be greatly missed. She and Bill attended the many activities of their children and grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Plymouth a member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority – Zeta Zeta Chapter. For the past 15 years she has had the position of quality assurance assistant with Lake City Heat Treating in Warsaw.

Surviving is her husband of 33 years Bill Davis and children: son Scott A. (Nicole) Davis of Otsego, Minnesota and their children Rutledge and Vaughn, daughter Heather K. (William) Ridenour of Clearfield, Utah and their children William, Trevon , Rylee, and Brooklyn, son James W. (Sara) Davis of Dyer, Indiana and their children Kaelyn and Nora and daughter Katherine M. who was wed to Thomas George this past Friday in her Mothers presence. They reside in Indianapolis.

Also surviving is her mother Carol L. Guthrie of Muskego, WI, brothers Brian Guthrie of San Mateo, CA and Kevin (Linda) Guthrie of Wind Lake, WI. A sister Cheryl (John) Schwarztrauber of Waterloo, WI and her Godsons Weston Schwarztrauber and Adam Guthrie survive along with many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death was her father James R. Guthrie, in-laws Vaughn and Della Davis and brother & sister-in-law Gerald and Sally Davis.

A Delta Theta Tau memorial rite will be given at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday October 17th prior to public visitation from 4 – 8 p.m. EDT in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth a Vigil Prayer Service presided by Fr. John Korcsmar C.S.C. will end the evening at 7:45 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday October 18th at 1:30 p.m. led by nephew John B. Davis.

Burial will follow in the New Oakhill Cemetery in Plymouth.
