Deloris J. Kelley, 71, peacefully passed away with her family near, in the early morning of Sunday, January 26, 2020.
Born in Argos, Indiana on March 18, 1948, Dee was the daughter of Hurshel W. and Nellie E. (Carpenter) Hunter. She graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1966. She then went on to attain her Bachelor of Music Degree, her Human Resources Degree and her Masters and Doctorate in Theology.
In South Bend, Indiana in December of 1973, Dee married Walter E. Kelley.
Before retirement, Dee worked as the Vice President of Human Resources at Patrick Industries Inc. in Elkhart, Indiana.
Dee was a very talented musician, loved crafts and had a strong Christian faith.
She is survived by her loving husband, Walt, of Plymouth; her mother, Nellie Hunter of Plymouth; brother, Hurshel (Kim) Hunter of Plymouth and Mark Hunter of Kenya, Africa. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters-in-law: Mariam Wagenknecht of Rochester, James (Susan) Kelley, Sheila (Larry) Shivers of Argos, Richard (Marcia) Kelley, Janet (James) Saunders of Plymouth and Sandra Copas of Plymouth, as well as, several nieces and nephews.
Dee will be laid to rest in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Argos.
