Donald E. Sheldon, 47, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening on November 18, 2014.
Born in South Bend, Indiana on July 18, 1967, Donald was the son of Jim Sr. and Marylyn E. Ellis-Sheldon. He served our country in the U.S. Army and was Honorably discharged.
On September 4, 2003, Donald took the former Robbyn R. Lowry to be his wife in Marshall County.
Don worked for Indiana Carton and most recently for Curtis Products as a CNA operator.
He enjoyed to DJ for family functions and also as a hobby. He loved playing football with his kids and playing pool. Don was a fan of Notre Dame Football.
He is survived by his wife, Robbyn, and their children: Tasha McNeal of Indianapolis, Specialist Michael Sheldon stationed at Ft. Carson, CO, Tiara Dehoff, Haley Dehoff, Hope Dehoff, Myranda Sheldon and Mackenzie Sheldon, all living at home, Amanda Sheldon of WI and Curtis Sheldon of MI; his father, Jim Sheldon Sr. of Delong, IN; 2 grandchildren; and mother and father-in-law, Sharon (Gale) Lowry of Walkerton.
Also surviving are his sisters, Faith Ann (Dean) Cook of Delong, IN and Shannon Mary O’Brian-Sheldon, and his brothers, Jim (Rhonda) Sheldon Jr. of Mentone, IN and Stephan (Sherri) Sheldon of Mexico, IN, as well as, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and sister, Carrie E.G. Sheldon. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 11 to 1 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. Funeral services will immediately follow in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Charles Krieg. Military Honors will be provided by members of the American Legion Post 27, Veterans of Foreign Wars- Marshall County Post 1162 and D.A.V.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family for the children’s education fund.
