Doris Jean Wylie, 83, 3147 Blackford Drive, Tippecanoe, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10:10 p.m. Doris died of natural causes in her residence. The daughter of George and Irene Elizabeth (Thomas) Bright, Doris was a lifetime Marshall County resident. She was born on June 5, 1930 in Bourbon, however she attended Plymouth Schools. Doris was a Nurse’s Aide at Mayflower Nursing Home, Pilgrim Manor and Millers Merry Manor for over 20 years before she retired in 2000. She was formerly a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge, Plymouth. In her spare time she loved crocheting, embroidering, baking pies and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Doris will be lovingly remembered by her family. Surviving are two sons: Douglas Eugene (Margaret) Wylie of Niles Michigan and Keith Allen Wylie of Plymouth and grandchildren: Tommy Lee (Michelle) Kuntz, Jennifer Milett, Craig Miller, Angel Miller, Samantha Wylie, Sara Wylie, Hazel Wylie, Shelly Wylie, Sheryl Wylie, Eugene Wylie, Billy Wylie and Samuel Wylie along with 9 great-grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Brenda Lee Gross-Miller. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the Oakhill Cemetery in Plymouth with Chaplain Tom Padberg officiating.
