PLYMOUTH, IND. – Dorothy M. Lohse, 79, a resident of Walnut Creek Care Facility, Plymouth, the past two years, died of natural causes at 5:50 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2001 in the company of her family at the care facility. Dorothy had resided at 14027 12th Rd. Plymouth, coming from Hammond, Ind. with her husband in 1947. Born February 2, 1922 in Hammond, the daughter of Shirley Tratebas and Margaret Klemsman Tratebas, Dorothy graduated from Hammond Tech School. On August 23, 1941, in Hammond, she was married to Wilbert H. Lohse. Wilbert died on October 10, 1993. Dorothy was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her family and living a Christian life. She was a member of the Calvary Lutheran church of Plymouth since 1947. One favorite personal past time was embroidery.
Survivors include three sons and one daughter. Her sons and daughter-in-laws are; Clyde J. and Barbara Lohse of Argos, Ind. James W. and Carol Lohse of Leesburg, Ind. and David L. and Carol Lohse of Plymouth. Her daughter Shirley M. Hardesty resides in Huntington, Ind. Eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse and a son-in-law, Lloyd Hardesty. Visitation with her family will be on Friday, April 27, 2001, from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Johnson – Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth and on Saturday, April 28, 2001 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Calvary Lutheran Church, 1314 N. Michigan St., Plymouth where services will be held at 11 a.m. Pastor Steven Resner and Vicar Robert Bower will officiate. Burial will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
