Dustin Lee Ronk, 10, 12856 Queen Road, Plymouth, died at 9:52 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2006, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, as a result of an A.T.V. accident.
The beloved son of Rodney L. and Catherine Jean Baker Ronk, Dustin was born in Plymouth on August 20, 1996. In the fourth grade at Menominee School, he was a straight A Honor Roll student.
An active, intelligent little boy, Dustin will be remembered for his joyful love of life.
He loved hunting and his 4-wheeler. He was a sports nut, enjoying baseball, football, bowling and basketball. He liked being around excavating and farm equipment and enjoyed spending time with his cousins.
Dustin loved his dog, Cody and will be sadly missed by his canine best friend.
Dustin is survived by and will be sadly missed by his loving family: his parents; his maternal grandparents, Richard and Delores Baker; his paternal grandparents, Bill and Karen Ronk; and his paternal and maternal great-grandmothers, Thelma Ronk and Clara Baker. All of his family live in Plymouth.
An Aunt, Tracy and Jason Peters and cousins, Chase, Brandt and Kacee Peters also survive, together with two uncles, Carroll and Brenda Baker and cousins, Mike and Lori Baker, Matt , Austin and Adam Baker, and Carl Baker and cousins Justin and Alec Baker, all of Plymouth.
Dustin was preceded in death by his great- grandfathers, Forest Ronk and Carroll Baker. Warren and Hazel Myers, paternal great-grandparents, have also died before him, as has Claron and Stella Hissong, Dustin’s maternal great-grandparents.
Friends will be welcomed by the family from 3 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, October 10, 2006, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, Indiana, and at the church for one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
Funeral services for Dustin will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, in the Plymouth Wesleyan Church, 11203 S. Michigan Street, Plymouth. The Rev. Oliver Dongell, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana.
Memorial gifts in Dustin’s memory may be made to support two of his favorite pastimes: the Youth Baseball League or the Junior League Football organization.
