Eva May Dunn, 78, died at home with her family, after an illness, at 6:47 P.M. Monday, May 28, 2007. Eva, a resident of 13798 W. 4th Road had lived in the Marshall County area for all of her life.
Born in Plymouth, Indiana on September 15, 1928, she is the daughter of Sumner F. and Clara A. Ackles Swihart
In 1992 Eva retired from United Technologies, after 10 years of employment with them.
Eva had a great fondness for her grandkids, she especially had a great time playing ball with them. She also enjoyed gardening, yodeling, going to fish fries, and playing euchre. Above all that she took great pleasure in being out at the barn with the animals on the farm, with the chickens being her favorite.
Eva is survived by her 3 children, two sons and one daughter.
Her sons are: Robert L. Dunn, Plymouth; and John C. and daughter-in-law Dorothy Dunn, Plymouth. Her daughter Susan E. and Dennis (Fraschetti) Johnson.
Eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren survive as well.
Five sisters and three brothers also survive. They are: Frances P. Swihart of Plymouth, Indiana; Mary L. Blakeley, Michigan; Ethel M. and Bill Whaley, LaPaz, Indiana, Bonnie L. Sliter and Connie S. and Ralph Sterling, all of Arkansas.
Her brothers are Paul J. and Edna Swihart, Plymouth, Indiana; Irve H. and Audrey Swihart, Avon Park, Florida; Roy G. and Diane Swihart, Plymouth, Indiana.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, a son Michael D. Dunn, three brothers, Ray W. Swihart, Bobby D. Swihart, and Don Swihart, and a brother-in-law Don Blakeley..
Friends are invited to celebrate the life of Eva Dunn with her family in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2007.
Funeral services for Eva will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery, Plymouth.
