Evelyn Logan House, 94, 4721 Old Stone Rd., Sarasota, Florida., died of natural causes, at her home on December 26, 2009. Evelyn, a former school teacher in Plymouth, Tucson, Arizona. and Los Angeles, California, was born in Plymouth on February 26, 1915. She was the daughter of Earl and Lena Myers Logan.
A graduate of Indiana University, she was a teacher for fifty years, retiring in 1980.
She taught in Plymouth for six years, in Arizona for four years and for forty years in California.
On June 2, 1945, in Berkley, California, Evelyn and James Milton House were married. J. Milton died in 1999.
Evelyn was a member of Delta Tau Delta sorority, the L.A. Teachers Association, ORT, and the Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a sister, Mildred Dinkledine, Plymouth, a granddaughter, Ashleigh Hack, California, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, James Milton., and by their daughter, Rebecca. A brother, Fred Logan and a sister, Wilma Chandler, have also died.
Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
