Floyd D. Bull, 78, 13315 W. 5D Road, Plymouth, a resident of Marshall County the past 56 years, coming from Tennessee, passed away, following an extended illness, at 11:18 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2008, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
Floyd was born at home in the family’s log cabin in Rutledge, Tenn., on June 4, 1930, the son of Frank and Myrah (Young) Bull. He attended Rutledge Community Schools.
On November 18, 1950, Floyd and Glenna R. Kitts were married in Rutledge.
Floyd worked in production at the Plymouth Foundry for 38 years, but due to his heath he retired in 1988.
An outdoorsman, he enjoyed yard work, mowing, and cutting wood for hours with his son John. He bowled with a men’s league and loved camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Plymouth.
Floyd is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years, Glenna and a son. His son is John F. (Paula) Bull of Reynolds, Ind. Two granddaughters and a grandson also survive: Tonya R. Fulghun, Tenn., Ashley Shepherd, LaPaz, Ind., and Troy Bowman, Miss.
A son-in-law, Greg Bowman, Tenn., and nine great-grandchildren survive as well.
Floyd was preceded in death by a daughter, Donitta Bowman in 1984, a grandson Todd Allen Bull in 1983 and a brother, Carl Bull.
Friends are invited to share memories with Floyd’s family at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, from 11 to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2008.
Funeral services for Floyd will follow visitation at 1 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home. The Rev. John Perkinson, pastor of the Shiloh Wesleyan Church, Plymouth, will officiate.
Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery.
