Floyd M. Fleck, 92, a LaPaz resident since 1949, passed away at 10:10 a.m. on Sunday May 19, 2013 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
Floyd was born on August 21, 1920 in South Milford, Indiana to John William Lester and Sylvia (Nesbit) Fleck. He attended LaGrange County schools.
In April of 1944, Floyd married Mildred L. Combs. She preceded him in death on June 2, 1996.
He worked as a service man for Lein Chemical Company for 23 years, as well as, working part-time at Hall’s Hardware in LaPaz. He retired in 1983.
On September 6, 2009 in Plymouth, Floyd married Bonnie Bope, who survives.
Floyd was a member of the LaPaz Community Church of God. In his free time, he enjoyed doing various crafts.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Hesler of Plymouth and son, Kevin (Pam) Fleck of LaPaz; his wife, Bonnie of LaPaz; his sister, Betty Coney of Strok, IN; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother, Donald Fleck.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 21, 2013 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 North Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services with calling one hour prior will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 22, 2013 at the LaPaz First Community Church of God, 601 S. Michigan Street, LaPaz, IN 46537. Burial will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery.
