Frank J. Paledino, 80, of 422 Webster Ave., Plymouth, a resident since 1977, coming from Danville, Ill., died of natural causes in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, at 2:46 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2004.
Born in Bedford, Ind., on January 11, 1924, Frank was the son of Frank S. and Teresa Russo Paledino. He attended Chicago’s Calumet Vocational High School and joined the United States Navy as a ship’s cook, serving overseas during W.W. II.
On June 17, 1950, Frank and Betty J. Johnson were married in Chicago.
A carpenter by trade, he worked for over 40 years for the Kroger Company, traveling between stores to repair refrigeration and electrical problems.
An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Frank was a member of V.F.W. Post #1162, the Plymouth Moose Lodge and a former member of the Plymouth Eagles.
He is survived by Betty, his wife of over 54 years and by their daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.
They are: Laura J. and Marshall Olsen of Plymouth; grandson, Matthew B. Olsen, now serving with the U.S. Air Force in Omaha Neb.; and Amy M. Olsen of Plymouth.
Numerous nieces and nephews survive as well.
Two sisters, Nancy Schroeder, Bedford, Ind., and Mary Hall, Arlington, Texas, together with a brother, James Paledino, Dalton, Ill., a step-sister, Rosie Crane, Bloomington, Ind., and a step-brother, James Moscato, Bedford, Ind., also survive.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joseph Paledino.
There will be no visitation and no services.

Burial will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
