Frieda Mae Johnson, 79, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Saturday, January 20, 2018.
Frieda was born in Plymouth on June 25, 1938 to Ernest F. and Inez E. (Bradley) Hattery and attended school in LaPaz.
She was the wife of Dennis Johnson for 35 years. On June 6, 1998 in Lakeville, Frieda married Gailen E. Johnson. He would proceed her in death in 2008.
She worked for Hehr International for 32 years, and then as a cafeteria worker for LaVille Jr. High School. Frieda was a member of the Women of the Moose and the American Legion Post 27 Ladies Auxiliary in Plymouth. Frieda loved her pet dogs and the era of ‘Disco’.
Frieda is survived by her children: Cindy Weaver and Bruce of Lakeville and Dennis and Becky Johnson of Plymouth; grandchildren: Brandi Taberski, Tony Weaver, Tristan Weaver and Jeremy Johnson; and great-grandchildren: Shailen, Hunter, Andrew, Bowen, Skylar, McKinsey, Braden and Bentley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and infant sister, Ellen June Hattery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 1st from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Charles Krieg officiating.
