G. Evelyn Richardson, 96, a Plymouth resident for the past five years, passed away at 7:21 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
G. Evelyn Richardson was born in Spring Valley, Illinois on April 28, 1917 to Clyde and Pearl (Fredricks) Lutin. She attended school at Hartford High School in Hartford, Michigan.
In 1948, Evelyn married Donald Norwood Richardson in South Bend, Indiana. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Evelyn worked as a head cashier for Wiebolts in Chicago until her retirement in 1979.
She lived in the Elkhart and Michigan area prior to moving to Plymouth. Evelyn loved knitting, doing needle point work and making stockings for he grandchildren for Christmas. She loved traveling around the U.S., some places being Alaska, the east coast and even Canada. Don and she were snowbirds for many years, going to Arizona during the winter.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty J. (David) May of Osceola, IN; 5 grandchildren: David (Joelyn) May Jr., Gary May, Brian May, Michael Kos and Jana Ferguson; 8 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Wayne and Michael E. Richardson, daughter, Carabeth Brant, and grandson, Elmer L. Brant.
There will be no services for Evelyn at this time.
