Gary D. Underwood, 72, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Walkerton. Born on October 28, 1952 in West Chester, PA, he was a cherished son of Harvey and Betty (Gheen) Underwood.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Gary exemplified the values of service and sacrifice during his time serving during Vietnam. His time in the military instilled in him a sense of duty and responsibility that he carried throughout his life. He spent many years as a Supervisor at Thermal King, where his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact.

Gary married Sarah Davis on April 26, 1999 in Crowne Point. Together, they blended their families and created a life filled with countless memories. He loved riding his motorcycle or going on a new adventure in their motorhome; exploring Michigan, Arkansas, and the Ozarks among their many travels. Gary loved being outdoors taking in the scenery or puttering around the house looking for his next project.

While he was a man of few words, his actions spoke volumes, reflecting his unwavering dedication and love for his family. He will be lovingly remembered for his quiet strength and caring nature.

Gary is survived by his wife, Sarah; their children, Kris Underwood, Matthew Underwood, Alex (Mary) Underwood, Michael (Luana) Davis, Daniel (Sheila) Davis, Ronald (Judy) Davis, Richard (Paula) Davis, and Tammy (Gale) Cadwell; grandchildren, Catalina, Cate, Brandon, Jacob (Hannah), Sara (Ben), Bobby, Lauren, Nicole, Veronica (Johnny), and Jack; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Cheryl (Mike) Sopko; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Betty; and siblings, Tyrell Underwood and Ken Underwood.

Per Gary's wishes, no formal services will be held.
