Georgia C. Isley, 80, died at home, at 12:10 am Sunday, November 12, 2006. Georgia moved to Plymouth in March 2005, coming from Rutledge, Tenn.
She was born the daughter of Chancy and Marie Alice Jones Isley in Rutledge, Tenn., on July 25, 1926. She attended schools in Granger County, Tenn. .
Georgia made socks in the Rutledge Knitting Mill, and later in the Mill in Knoxville, Tenn.
She was a member of Noah’s Chapel Church in Rutledge.
Georgia is survived by a sister, Madge B. Isley of Plymouth, a nephew, Johnny Whitt of Plymouth, three nieces: Mona Ames of Plymouth, Irene Hickey of Bremen and Dorothy Parker of Bourbon, along with seven great-nephews and 12 great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Mable Whitt and Vernie Isley, and three brothers: Earl, Walter, and Alford Isley.
The family will welcome friends from 8:00 a.m. To 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2006, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Plymouth.
