Glen Junior Berger, J.R., 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Autumn Trace in Plymouth. He was born in Chicago on May 16, 1930, to Glen F. Berger and Sophia Rupp-Berger.

His family moved to Marshall County in 1936, and Glen graduated from Argos High School in 1948. He was united in marriage with Cleo M. Samuels on April 23, 1950, in Goshen. Their life was a true love-story as they created precious memories together over 75 years.

Retiring in 1993, Glen led a successful career working as a Manager for C & C Oil for 20 years. Glen was a faithful member of Shiloh Wesleyan Church in Plymouth and a former member of Eagle Creek Church in Knox. He served in various roles at the church throughout the years including working as the Head Trustee, a Sunday School Leader, and was the Materials Coordinator for the Rebuilding Together.

Glen volunteered for Love Inc. Habitat for Humanity, Towers for Jesus, he went to Puerto Rico to help them recover from a hurricane and spent numerous years assisting the Pastor of the Lakota Church in White River South Dakota.

He was fun loving and a man full of jokes that would bring a smile to anyone’s face. He enjoyed his fishing trips with longtime friends Bill and Gloria Dickson to Minnesota.

Glen is survived by his wife, Cleo; daughter, Glenda (Chris) Baumann of Colorado Springs, CO; and their children Dan (Karla) Baumann and Ann Marie (Tyler) Beebout; daughter Lu Jeane (Dennis) Olejniczak of Argos; and their children Eric and Brooke (Dennis) Carr; granddaughter Lisa Berger, daughter of Jerry; 8- great grandchildren and 1-great-great grandchild; sister Shirley Rettinger of Valparaiso; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Sophia; son, Jerry W. Berger; siblings, Lorraine Berger, Robert Berger and Kenneth Berger.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 2-4 pm at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 11:00 am with Brother David Pittman officiating.

Burial will take place in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
