Grace K. Falconbury, 78, of 501 Pennsylvania Ave., died on Friday, May 21, 2004, at 7:15 p.m. She died of natural causes at Our Lady of Peace Hospital, South Bend. Grace had lived in the Plymouth area since she was five years old.
Born in Plymouth on March 18, 1926, Grace was the daughter of Conley and Sarah E. Sullivan Everdon. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1945.
On September 18, 1949, in Plymouth, she became the bride of Arthur S. Falconbury. Arthur died on December 10, 1955.
For eight years Grace worked for Schlosser Brothers Creamery. She then worked as a popular sales clerk for Bosworth’s Department Store for 31 years.
An avid reader, she enjoyed family events and working outside in her garden. She collected angels and had an extensive and lovely assortment.
Grace is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen “Kathy” G. and Dan Ambrose of Grovertown, Ind.
A brother, Joseph Everdon, Hermon, Mo., a sister-in-law, Beverly Falconbury of Plymouth, a special niece, Karen Everdon of South Bend, and several other nieces and nephews survive as well.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Mary Lawmaster and a brother, Jack Everdon.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 25, 2004, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, Ind.
Funeral services for Grace will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2004, in the funeral home. Interment will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Ind.
Memorial gifts in Grace’s memory may be made to the Marshall County Cancer or Marshall County Heart Associations.
