Gregory Paul Klein

Gregory Paul Klein, age 65 of Plymouth, Indiana, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, with loved ones by his side. He was born on October 3, 1958, in Bremen, Indiana. Greg is survived by his loving partner of 20 years, Libby DeMyer; his daughters Jennifer (Benjamin) LaGuire, Cortney Cora; sisters Susan (Tom) Schlarb, Lisa (Gene) Robinson; sister-in-law Teresa Klein; great-aunt Janet (Don) Reed, along with his honorary daughters Alissa (Phil) Summers, Ashley (Steven) Sullivan. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Brayden LaGuire, Milaya LaGuire, Carson DeChristofaro, Cameron Summers, Corbin Summers, Colin Summers, Madison Sullivan, Nolan Sullivan and Griffin Sullivan, as well as his nieces and nephews.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Klein and Marilyn (Auer) Klein, and his brother, Phillip Klein.

Greg dedicated his career as a millwright at Steel Warehouse. He previously served as a Lakeville volunteer fireman and ran his own septic business back in the day. Greg was a man of many talents-a true jack of all trades. An accomplished fabricator and welder, his creations are still being used today. Greg was everyone’s handyman, and he took pride in his ability to help anyone at any time. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, boating, snowmobiling, and reading westerns, particularly those by Louis L’Amour. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with all of his grandchildren, whom he adored, listening to their adventures and life happenings. His distinctive sense of humor and his enthusiastic encouragement of mischief with his grandchildren were truly unmatched.

Greg was also deeply fond of he and Libby’s Miniature Schnauzer, Maizy, whom he loved greatly and spoiled with treats. He took pleasure in teaching her numerous tricks, proudly showcasing her talents whenever visitors came by.

In honor of Greg’s life, a celebration of life will be held at a location and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to support vital research efforts for a cure.
