Guadalupe “Lupe” Duenez, 67, a Plymouth resident most of her life, died at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
The daughter of Jesus L. and Eudelia ”Lela” Garza Duenez, Lupe was born on January 10, 1943 in Mexico.
Lupe retired from Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, after working for 28 years as a nurse’s aide.
An avid reader, she also enjoyed working with her hands doing various crafts.
Lupe is survived by her mother, Eudelia “Lela” Duenez of Plymouth, two brothers: Joe Duenez of Plymouth and John (Susan)Duenez of Indianapolis, a sister, Delores (Eddie) Phillips of Kokomo, three nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5th, 2010, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Funeral Services, officiated by the Rev. Charles Krieg, will be held following visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
