Harold Rowe

Harold “Jack” Rowe, 94, 12453 11th Rd., died at 9:45 am on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, in Millers Merry Manor, Plymouth.

Jack was born in La Paz, Ind., on March 8, 1917. He was the son of Francis M. and Pearl A. Flesher Rowe.

He graduated from LaPaz High School with the class of 1935.

A construction worker in Porter County, Jack retired in 1980.

Jack traveled around the world, across both oceans. He enjoyed fishing and playing euchre.

He was a member of the Moose and Eagles Clubs in Plymouth.

Jack is survived by two daughters, Eileen Sue Hoover and Jackie Haller, both of Florida.

A sister, Velma Jordan, Auburn, Ind., and a brother, Gene Rowe, Plymouth, survive as well.

Jack’s sweetheart, Dottie Heflick, South Bend, also survives.

Friends are invited to call on Monday, August 1, 2011, from 11 to 12 at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home following visitation at

12:00 p.m. Burial will take place in the Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
