Harry Thomas Parker Jr.

November 1, 1979 — August 18, 2018

Harry Thomas “Tom” Parker Jr., 38, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday evening, August 18, 2018 as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Tom was born in South Bend, Indiana on November 1, 1979 to Harry Thomas “Joe” and Dorothy M. “Dot” (Whitt) Parker. He graduated from Triton High School with the class of 1998. He attended Indiana Tech University, where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Business and Marketing.

Tom worked alongside his dad, Joe, for their family business, Parker Roofing. The two took turns deciding who was “in charge”. They served many places here locally and even helped out a few church members. He was a member of New Life Christian Church in Warsaw.

Being outside was Tom’s getaway; hiking, fishing and long motorcycle rides. He went on many trips with his sisters, seeing God’s creations all over the U.S. and Canada. He enjoyed NASCAR, and he and Joe used to take yearly trips to the Michigan Motor Speedway. Tom was a homebody, but the second you needed any help, he was right there. He was a quiet guy, full of hilarious one-liners that always came out when you least expected it and left the room laughing. He was funny, witty, sarcastic, and loved insulting his four sisters with love. Tom had one weakness though, ice cream. It didn’t matter how full he ever was, there was always time and room for ice cream.

Tom is survived by his parents, Harry “Joe” and Dorothy “Dot” Parker of Plymouth, and his four sisters: Tina M. Parker of Ft. Wayne, Tammy J. (Jamie) Bowling of Plymouth, Carol L. Baker of Ft. Wayne, and Kim M. (Chad) Miller of Etna Green; as well as, one niece and many nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor John B. Lowe II officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.

Memorial contributions can be made to New Life Christian Church, 744 S C.R. 325 E. Warsaw, IN 46582.
