Hazel L. Crabb, 89, a long-time resident of Argos, died of natural causes in the Brown County Health and Living Community where she had been living, at 10:30 p.m., Sunday, November 28, 2004.
A loving friend, mother and grandmother, Hazel will be remembered and missed.
Born in Bremen on March 2, 1915, Hazel was the daughter of Fredrick and Caroline Grimm Renas. She graduated from Bourbon High School.
In 1933, Hazel and Ernest Crabb were married. Ernest died on September 3, 1972.
Self-employed, the couple owned the Crabb Furniture Store in Argos, Indiana She then worked at the Wagon Wheel after selling the store.
A member of the Plymouth Wesleyan Church, at one time, Hazel was very active in the workings of the church.
She is survived by two sons: Glen Crabb, Bloomington, Ind., and Larry Crabb, Granger, Ind.
Five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive her death.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a grandson. Two sisters, Mae I. Luty and Ruth Renas and a brother, Howard Renas, also has died.
Friends are invited to visit with the family to share their memories on Wednesday, December 1, 2004, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to funeral services at 2 o’clock in the funeral home.
Greg Bouck, a pastor of the Plymouth Wesleyan Church will officiate for Hazel’s service.
Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts in Hazel’s memory may be made to the Plymouth Wesleyan Church.
