Helen M. Oswald,75, formerly of Westmont, Illinois, and a resident of the Maria Genter at Donaldson for the past 7 years, died at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Genter, South Bend Campus, following an illness, on Monday, January 24, 2000, at 8:00 p.m.
Helen was born on November 15,’,924, in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Joseph and lda Chandle Oswald. She graduated from St. Augustine High School in Chicago.
Helen was a secretary and she retired from the Mayslake Village Retirement Center located in Oakbrook, Illinois.
Helen was a member of the Third order of st. Francis, and an associate member of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ.
Helen is survived by a sister, Sister M. Magdala Oswald, Donaldson.
Her parents, along with two brothers and two sisters preceded Helen
in death.
Friends may visit with her family on Wednesday, January 26, 2000,
from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 P.ffi., E.S.T. in the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ Ministry Genter, located in Donaldson, Indiana. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, January 27, 2000, at 10am E.S.T., at the Ministry Genter in Donaldson. The Rev. Edward Konerman S.J., Chaplin of the Ministry Genter will officiate.
Burial will take place in the St. Mary’s Cemetery located in Chicago, Illinois, at 3:00 p.ffi., E.S.T.
