Ida Marie Harreld, 96, passed away Saturday morning at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
Ida was born in Provo, Kentucky on January 8, 1919 the daughter of William and Phinis (McKenney) Green.
She was married on July 3, 1937 to Howard A. Harreld and the made their home in Anderson, Indiana. Marie was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the farm as well as tending to a large garden that kept her busy canning.
Marie loved to sing and in Anderson was a member of the Elm Grove Christian Church where she volunteered with the Ladies Aid. She was also involved with the Keenagers at the Grace Baptist Church in Anderson.
After the passing of her husband, she moved to Plymouth in 2002.
Ida is survived by her daughter-in-law, Darlene Harreld, grandchildren: Robin & Gary Neidig, Timothy Harreld, Randall & Ashley Harreld and Philip & Sara Harreld along with 10 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. A niece, Fran Folsom and nephew, Darrell & Sandra Brizendine also survive with many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and sons, Robert Gene “Bobby” and James Allen Harreld.
Visitation in Plymouth will be held Monday evening, August 24th from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Visitation in Anderson will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25th in the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel where services will begin at Noon. Pastor Matt Elliott of the Plymouth Grace Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow.
