Ina B. Hoeffer, 79, formerly of 17627 Main St. of Tyner, died at 5:35 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2000 in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Center. She had been in failing health for the past five years. Ina was a lifetime resident of Marshall County.
Born July 27, 1921 in her family home of Tyner, she was the daughter of William D. and Amanda B. Karn Brown. She attended the Tyner school.
Ina was married to John P, Hoeffer on April 27, 1945 in Monticello, Ind., John died on June 6, 1971.
Being a homemaker and enjoying children came first, she provided child care in her home for a few years as well as working for United Telephone of Plymouth for 20 years.
Ina’s hobbies included sewing, cutwork embroidery, and gardening. She was also a member of Plymouth Wesleyan Church most of her adult life.
Surviving is a daughter, Judi L. and Bud Masterson of Plymouth and two sons, Joda J. and Beverly Hoeffer of Plymouth and Patrick P. and Nancy Hoeffer of Argos. Also surviving are three sisters, Betty Taylor of Plymouth, Arlene and Raymond Williams of Zephyrhills, Florida, and Cora May of Florida.
Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, Aaron Brown, Russell Brown, and Joda Brown and two sisters, Eva Lerch and Enola Armentrout Cudney.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, December 21, 2000 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St. Plymouth. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 22, 2000 at the funeral home with Rev. Paul McBride officiating. Burial will be in the Tyner Cemetery.
