Ina D. Mullins, 70, a 50-year resident of LaPaz, and for a time in Michigan, died at 2:50 a.m., on Wednesday, January 19, 2000, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind. She was diagnosed in December with A.L.S., Lou Gerig’s Disease. Ina who had spent the last four years in Seminole Florida most recently lived in the home of her son, Bill Kulcsar, 5625 Raleigh Drive, South Bend.
Born in Marshall County on December 3, 1929, Ina was the daughter of Floyd Daniel and Jessie May Bradley Holland. She graduated from LaPaz High School in 1947.
On January 2, 1948, in Benton Harbor, Mich., Ina and Anton “Tony” Kulcsar were married. Tony died on February 3, 1981. On April 11, 1988, Ina and Jess Mullins were married in Plymouth.
Ina formerly worked at Uniroyal in Mishawaka. She also had worked in the kitchen at the Red Brick Elementary School in Cassopolis, Mich. and in housekeeping of the Plymouth Holiday Inn. After her retirement, she worked part-time at the Nickle’s Bakery Store in Plymouth until 1993.
A homemaker, Ina enjoyed her children and their families. She loved to sew, making dolls and stuffed animals. She was an expert crafter. Her family and friends enjoyed her artistic and talented work and will treasure them for years to come.
Ina is survived by her husband, Jess, her two daughters and two sons. They are: Carol J. Fuchs, Ralph E. and Pat Kulcsar, Susan M. and Jeff Lehr, all of LaPaz and William R. Kulcsar, South Bend.
Eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive as well, together with her mother, Jessie Holland, Seminole, Florida, a sister, Marilyn and Jim Cuila, Mentor, Ohio and Ted and Peggy Holland, Bourbon, Ind.
Ina was preceded in death by her father, her first husband, Tony, and three brothers: Jim, Floyd and Wayne Holland.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 21, 2000, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 22, 2000, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Creed Allen, pastor of the Gospel Lighthouse Church, Plymouth, will officiate.
Burial will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
