Isabelle J. Beville, 86, a longtime resident of Knox, Ind., coming from East Chicago, Ind., in 1945, and a former Garden Court, Plymouth, resident, died of natural causes in Plymouth’s Miller’s Merry Manor at 10:06 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2005.
Isabelle was born in Morgantown, West Virginia, on April 1, 1919. She was the daughter of George E. and Alma H. Feck Bennett. She graduated in 1936 from East Chicago’s Roosevelt High School and then attended Indiana University North-West.
Isabelle and Clyde C. Beville were married in April 22, 1939, in East Chicago. Clyde died on November 1, 1969.
She had worked for the State of Indiana’s Forestry Department and for many years, she worked in various Starke County governmental offices.
She was a longtime member of the Knox United Methodist Church. A very social person, Isabelle enjoyed being a life member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority, a member of the Knox Chapter of the Eastern Star, the Chapter B – P.E.O. Sisterhood, the V.F.W. Post 748 Ladies Auxiliary and the Indiana Federated Women’s Club. Isabelle is survived by three children. They are: Dennis W. and Francie Beville, Plymouth; David C. Beville, and Barbara L. Beville, both of Fort Wayne, Ind.
A granddaughter, Sarah Beville and great grandson Evan also of Plymouth, survive as well.
Carol J. Bennett, a sister, living in Plymouth, and two sister-in-laws, Cleo Beville Avery, Okeechobee, Fla,, and M. Jeanette Bennett, St. Louis, Mo., together with two nephews and a niece, Stephen C. (Renee) Beville, Fogelsville, Penn., Edward A. (Carolyn) Bennett, Louisville, Ky., and Mary Sue (Mike) Beville Hrindik of Munster, Ind., also survive.
Isabelle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, George F. and Robert Bennett.
Friends of Isabelle and her family will be welcomed on Friday, April 29, 2005, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, Ind., and for one hour prior to funeral services in the church.
Isabelle’s funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2005, in the Knox United Methodist Church, 201 S. Shield St., Knox, Ind. The Pastor Leon Pomeroy will officiate.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox, Ind.
Memorial gifts in Isabelle’s memory may be made to the Marshall/Starke Development Center, the Knox United Methodist Church, or Marshall Co. Hospice.
