Joan V. Follin, 103, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30th.

She was born on January 13, 1921 in South Bend, IN, the daughter of Charles Russell and Iris Melva (Stilson) Kirkley. She graduated from Tyner High School with the class of 1939. She married Robert M. Follin August 6, 1944

Joan worked for Bungalow Pie Shop in South Bend and tested airplane engines at Bendix to support the war efforts. Most importantly she was a loving and loyal wife and mother. Peacemaker was a word that often described her and she always welcomed you with open arms.

Her hobbies were baking, gardening her flower beds, reading, sewing and art. Joan was a member of Timberland Bible Church in South Bend,

She is survived by her daughter Marilyn and Steve Scheiber of Michigan; sister Nancy Mast; grandson Nathan (Maryann) Follin as well as several nieces and nephews.

Joan is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, son Russell Earl (Wendy) Follin and sister Dollie.

Public visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 10:30-11:30 EST at the North Salem Church of God, 1323 4th Road and Old Hwy. 31, Plymouth, IN 46563. Funeral services will immediately follow with Pastor Bob Collier officiating.

Burial will take place at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.

Memorial contributions may be given to North Salem Church of God, 1323 4th Road, Plymouth, IN 46563 or to Timberland Bible Church, 16623 State Road 23, South Bend, IN 46635.
