Former Plymouth resident, John Hollis, 57 of Belcourt, North Dakota, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2000 at 11:34 a.m. in Rolla, North Dakota.
John was born the son of James D. and Laura Mae John Hollis on January 26, 1943 in Plymouth. He was a 1961 graduate of Plymouth High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. John was a member of the Ironworkers Local 292.
He is survived by four daughters, Teresa Morris of Greenwood, Ind., Patrice and spouse Todd Gehring of Indianapolis, Ind., Susie Morris of Lafayette, Ind. and Holly Hollis of Pennsylvania. A son James Hollis of Devils Lake, North Dakota along with three grandchildren, Haley and Jacob Gehring of Indianapolis, Ind. and David Hollis of Pennsylvania also survive.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2000 in the New Oakhill Chapel, Plymouth, where friends may call for one hour prior services.
The Veterans Of Foreign Wars, Marshall County Post 1162, will accord John military honors. Burial will follow in New Oakhill Cemetery.
