Johnathan A. Nifong, 35, of Plymouth, IN, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 4, 2024.
Johnathan was born May 16, 1989 to John L. Nifong and Tamera (Parkins) Helvie in Logansport, IN. Johnathan graduated high school midterm in 2007 while working at Oliver Ford Lincoln Mercury. Johnathan loved the outdoors. As a kid, you could find him jumping on the trampoline for hours or riding his 4-wheeler around his grandparent’s farm. He loved hanging out with his grandpa more than anything. He spent a lot of time with him in tractors and hauling cattle to the sale barn. As Johnathan grew older, he found a love for fishing. He had a special gift when he picked up a pencil. He could sketch out some really cool artwork. Johnathan had a big heart, was loved by many, and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Johnathan is survived by his parents John (Kimberlee) Nifong of Plymouth, IN and Tamera (Parkins) Helvie of Logansport, IN. His siblings: Joshua, Tyler, Jeanne, Jennah, Garrett, and Faith. His children: Holten, Nevaeh, Cyrus, Rowan, and Kiler. His grandparents: Shirley Nifong, Thomas Parkins, Don (Lori) Myers, and Rod Pyle.
Johnathan was preceded in death by his grandparents: Loren Nifong, Rita Parkins, and Diana Pyle. A private graveside service and burial was held on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 2 pm at Oak Hill Cemetery (Plymouth, IN) with Pastor Chuck Krieg officiating.
