Johnny Dale Dohner, 54, died, following a lengthy illness, at his residence, Michigan Road, Argos, at 9:05 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2010. Born in Marion, on September 28, 1955, Johnny is the son of John V. and Donna J. Sollars Dohner.
Johnny took Ms. Pamela Dale Bonewitz as his bride on June 30, 1987 in Marion.
He retired from General Motors.
Johnny enjoyed art, he loved painting and drawing pictures, he also enjoyed riding his bike, cars, and watching the history channel. The thing he most often enjoyed was his grandchildren Mackenzie and Emma.
He is survived by his loving wife Pamela, Argos; his mother Donna; three children Christopher Dohner, Argos; John Dohner, Fort Leonardwood, MO; Jessica & Adam Sliter, Plymouth; and two grandchildren Mackenzie Dohner and Emma Sliter both of Plymouth.
Also surviving are Siblings Tom Dohner, Argos; Bill Dohner, and Tammy Dudley both of Oklahoma; and Diane Canode of GasCity, IN.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Teresa.
Friends are invited to visit with Johnny’s family and share memories with them from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2010, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. A Funeral Service for Johnny will be held immediately following visitation at 4 p.m. Preferred memorial gifts in Johnny’s memory may be made to the Haiti Relief Fund.
