Jolene M. Wolverton

August 23, 1963 — February 19, 2015

Jolene M. Wolverton, 51, passed away with her family near after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday morning, February 19, 2015 in the South Bend Hospice House.

Born in Plymouth on August 23, 1963, Jolene was the daughter of Howard L. Prince and Nancy J. (Lyons) Howard.

In Elkhart, Indiana on February 14, 1986, Jo married David A. Wolverton. The couple just celebrated their 29th anniversary this past Valentine’s Day.

Jo worked for Culver Tool and then moved to work for RKC Instrument doing data entry and working in customer service. She was a member of the Jordan Baptist Church in Argos, Culver Bible Church and most recently, New Song Community Church in Plymouth.

After God, Jo’s family came first. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished holidays and family events. She also liked to work in her flower garden, traveling, horseback riding, going to concerts, antiquing and loved shopping at Goodwill for great finds.

Jo is survived by her husband, Dave of Plymouth and her three children: Jon D. (Cassie) Hart of Culver and their children Maleah and Jameson, Josh D. Hart of Culver and Lindsey J. (Dustin) Maiden of Brooklyn, WI. Also surviving is her mother, Nancy Howard of Argos, and her siblings: Penny (Rick) Kersey of Culver and Kim (Alan) DeWitt of Plymouth, as well as, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015 in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in the New Song Community Church, 400 N. Kingston Rd., Plymouth, with Rev. Justin Chambers officiating.

Burial will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
