Joy Lee Shepperd, 62, of 824 N. Plum Street, Plymouth has gone to be with her parents, two sisters and two brothers who preceded her in death. She died of natural causes at 2:40 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2000.
Born the daughter of Perry and Ivory (Cole) Shepperd on September 11, 1938 at home in Kniman, Indiana. Joy was a lifetime Marshall County resident, formerly of Culver. She received her education in Medaryville, Indiana.
A disability at an early age in life did not keep her from raising her family as a loving and protective single parent. She dearly enjoyed times spent together with family. Joy had a passion for the game of Bingo, she raised roses and flowers of all kinds. She was an animal lover, especially her three dogs.
Joy is survived by her loving children; daughter Deborah and Albert Rosenau of Crimora, Virginia, two sons; James R. Parrott and fiancé Ginelle Cook of Wilkes Barre, Penn. and Vernon Parrott of Plymouth. Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive along with two brothers and a sister. They are Sterling and Rose Shepperd of Buffalo, Indiana; Roger and Sandra Shepperd of Plymouth and Vera and Leon Pollock of Zephyrhills, Florida.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2000 fro 5 – 8 p.m. in the Johnson – Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2000.
Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, North Judson, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall County Humane Society.
